As we entered the New Year, we wasted no time in getting the students back into the garden and reconnecting with friends and nature! The first week back the students participated in scavenger hunts that encourage them to use their observation skills and explore changes happening to our garden during this winter season.
A new year required a new coat of paint to our garden signs! The students from each grade had fun designing signs that reflected what they have learned over the few months. The 1st grade students decided to paint the sun, water and soil to represent their current grade question which is: How do plants, animals and humans meet their needs to grow?
