This month we are excited to share about some new structural additions to the Discover Garden and campus that have enhanced our outdoor learning environments.
A huge thanks to Gary Herson who designed and built the new permanent shade structure in the Discover Garden and shade sails around campus. Gary also for spent time working with our middle school students to design and build a third gate to the garden! We are incredible thankful to Gary for his time, hard work and dedication to CRA!

With Gary’s guidance the new garden gate was built by our middle school students! This gate will serve as an easier access to the garden from the middle school area throughout the year.
Over last summer, Gary and his crew build a new shade structure for the Discover Garden. This beautiful new structure allowed students and teachers to enjoy the garden rain or shine this past school year.
New shade sails were built and added around campus to give students a space to study outdoors. The Middle School students have been having fun learning about mixing soil and propagating succulents for the new shade barrels.
